Only 10 minutes inland from Newport (via Highway 20) is the small town of Toledo on the beautiful Yaquina River. This tiny, quiet town is mostly residential with a variety of small businesses downtown including a few churches, coffee shops, and family-owned restaurants such as Timber’s Restaurant & Lounge on Main St.
Timber’s Restaurant & Lounge is a local favorite for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an extensive menu that includes a little something for everyone. Start your day right with their combo breakfasts (served all day), omelettes served with hash browns or toast, pancakes, or French toast paired with juice and a cup of coffee.
For lunch and dinner, take your pick between their burgers, hot and cold sandwiches served with chips or fries, steaks, and seafood dinners such as grilled oysters and deep-fried prawns. Daily specials are posted every morning as well if you feel like changing things up. Freshly baked pies and ice cream dishes are available on the dessert menu to top it all off.
Timber’s Restaurant & Lounge is located in the heart of downtown Toledo at 181 S Main St. They are currently open for both dine-in and takeout from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The lounge is open from 8 a.m. ’til closing. More information on their current events and specials can be found on their Facebook page.
