Stay Oceanside At Whaleshead Beach Resort In Brookings

by Nikki C

We recently headed down to the Southern Oregon Coast for a relaxing weekend getaway at Whaleshead Beach Resort.

This large resort, easily accessed off Highway 101 north of Brookings, offers several cabins for rent as well as RV sites near the beach and miles of trails in the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor.

Many of their cabins are available as vacation rentals, but some also serve as a full-time residence. Each tiny home offers a different experience: most have private hot tubs, some also provide beautiful forest or ocean views. They come fully furnished with kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms, while some also offer lofts and extra sleeping space for larger groups.

The resort is located just minutes from Whaleshead Beach and from several beautiful, easy-to-reach viewpoints like Natural Arches, Arch Rock, Cape Ferrelo, and Whaleshead Viewpoint. Just 15 minutes south of the resort, Brookings and Harbor have several restaurants, gas stations, and shops to pick up everything you may need.

In case you need anything last-minute, the resort sells beer, wine, and other beverages in their main office area. They also have a restaurant on-site, Our Daily Bread, that is temporarily closed due to COVID.
