Just off the main highway in Brookings, Mattie’s Pancake House serves some of the best breakfast on the Southern Oregon Coast. This local spot also offers an assortment of lunch options and homemade desserts to top it all off.
Their extensive breakfast menu includes several egg dishes, ranging from simple scrambles to more hearty omelets and eggs Benedict. Some of the most popular options include their shrimp and cheese omelet (pictured below), the Denver omelet, crab and swiss omelet, and veggie omelet for the vegetarians. Egg muffins and hot oatmeal with toast are offered as well.
Those with a sweet tooth may opt for a stack of pancakes or waffles, French toast, or crepes. They have some pretty tempting options such as chocolate chip pancakes, blueberry or strawberry pancakes, or Swedish crepes served with Lingonberry butter.
For lunch, they make a variety of sandwiches, including burgers, chicken sandwiches, classic deli sandwiches like the Reuben, tuna melts and more. Pair with one of their salads, soups, or a bowl of chili on the side.
They also offer Senior Specials and a Kid’s Menu with options for the whole family. Before you go, pick up one of their homemade sweets to-go, such as their bread pudding, cheesecake, or scones.
