Fresh Harvest Cafe: A Local Favorite In Florence

by Nikki Cleveland

The small town of Florence on the Central Coast has a great variety of restaurants to choose from. Some are easy to access right off Highway 101 and others provide beautiful views while overlooking the Siuslaw River. One of our favorites is the Fresh Harvest Cafe, located right off the highway with several breakfast and lunch options.

Some of their specialties include French crepes, hearty omelettes, and traditional breakfasts like oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, and pancakes and French toast. Their handmade crepes include sweet and savory options such as ones stuffed with fresh seafood (like salmon and Dungeness crab) as well as steak, bacon, mushrooms, and ricotta. Their sweet crepes include fruity fillings like Oregon berries and lemon curd.

If you visit after 11 a.m., take a look over their lunch menu for your options. This includes soups and salads, sandwiches, and fresh harvest items like fish and chips and wild shrimp. They also serve an assortment of burgers with half-pound patties (including a vegetarian option) along with fries and all the fixings.

Pair your meal with a classic drink like soda or juice or try something new with one of their specialty espresso drinks. Those over 21 may also prefer one of their morning cocktails like a mimosa, the Classic Bloody Mary, or their signature drink, “The Morning After” with Kahlua, Bailey’s, espresso, and milk.
