You may have seen their cheese and ice cream in stores, but any time you’re in Tillamook, a visit to the local creamery is a must. The renowned Tillamook Creamery is not only open to the public for self-guided tours, but they also serve their cheese and ice cream in an on-site diner and market.

The creamery can be found right along Highway 101 in Tillamook, in a large, elegant building designed to look like a modern barn. Inside, the building houses their entire cheese production, along with a diner and market where you can pick up your favorite Tillamook products. Normally, free cheese samples are available for visitors as well, but due to virus concerns, they are not offering those at this time.

Take a self-guided tour of their factory to learn more about every step of the cheese production process. Workers and equipment can be seen below putting the cheese we all know and love through the process before it reaches stores and restaurants.

Tillamook also showcases their quality cheese in several American classics, such as grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, and cheeseburgers, at their on-site restaurant. Dine-in seating is not currently available, but all of their menu options can be taken to-go. They serve their quality ice cream in cups or waffle cones to-go as well.
