Newport has several places to grab a bite to eat for all kinds of occasions. One of the most popular options is the Chalet Restaurant & Bakery located right off Highway 101 on the north end of town. This family owned and operated restaurant has been a local favorite for over 30+ years and has been consistently voted as the “Best Restaurant in Lincoln County.”
The Chalet Restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with a full-service bakery that whips up amazing specialty pies. They prove that good food starts with good ingredients, as they make their own homemade jams, compotes, and syrups to pour over their pancakes and waffles. They have also teamed up with Sunset Valley Organics, Driven Coffee Wholesale Beans, and New Cascadia Traditional Bakery to feature local products in their offerings.
Breakfast is served all day and includes a wide variety of options. Take your pick between egg dishes, omelettes, pancakes, Belgium waffles, bagels, and beyond. One of their most popular options is the Hazelnut Blueberry Pancakes served with a side of blueberry compote and hazelnut syrup.
Their lunch menu features various sandwiches, burgers, and other fare such as fish & chips and quesadillas. They also offer an extensive list of salads and homemade soups to pair with your meal. With options for kids and vegetarians, there is a little something for everyone here.
If you’re visiting for dinner, you’ll be impressed by their many options as well. They serve fresh seafood, steaks, and poultry dishes, as well as Chalet specialties including a pot roast and chicken pot pie.
With the on-site bakery, you will definitely want to save room for dessert! They also offer pies, pastries and more to-go for those who want to enjoy a sweet treat later on at home.
Chalet Restaurant & Bakery is open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. They are easy to find right off Highway 101 at 2026 N Coast Hwy, Newport, OR 97365. You can view their full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus on their website.
