If you’re craving seafood, you’ll have plenty of places to choose from on the Oregon Coast. You can pick up your own fresh catches to cook at the many seafood markets or have it served in the countless local restaurants in most of the coastal towns.
In Port Orford, The Crazy Norwegian’s Fish And Chips is one of the most popular spots on the southern coast for fresh seafood caught in our local waters.
This little fish hut has hundreds of raving reviews, and for good reason. You’ll be just as impressed when you try their famous fish and chips served with house-made tartar and fries, slaw, or pasta salad. Or perhaps you would prefer their tacos featuring fish, grilled shrimp, or fried chicken, on corn tortillas. They also serve up fresh fish sandwiches, BLTs, and burgers, including a vegetarian option.
The Crazy Norwegian makes an incredible house-made chowder and chili as well. Upgrade to have it served in a house-made bread bowl for maximum flavors. Want to change things up? Try one of their daily specials instead!
The Crazy Norwegian is located right off Highway 101 at 259 6th St in Port Orford, OR. The restaurant is only minutes from several lodging accommodations as well as Battle Rock Wayside Park. They are currently open for take-out only from Wednesday through Sunday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. For the latest updates, follow their Facebook page.
